If you haven’t experienced the consequences of a Sharepoint site being locked due to site quota being used, you may be puzzled at first.

Usually the site actions menu is a pretty long list like this (Danish screenshot)

But all of a sudden the menu shrinked to just this brief list

We didn’t really know what had happened, since we hadn’t changed anything recently that should have caused such a difference. The site was not intended to have any quota limitations either, so that was not the first place we looked.

But after investigating further we found the quato setting and could see that the site was limited to “Read-only”. Changing that flag and removing the quota we got our full scale menu back and editing options
